Structure Fire on Walnut St.

 

On Thursday, December 29, 2011, - at 11:16 hours, we were dispatched along with Station 45 for a working structure on Walnut St. in Weaversville.  Upon leaving the station a large smoke header was visible and the alarm was upgraded to a full 1st Alarm which brought additional manpower and equipment from Stations 15 and 42.  The fire, which turned out to be a large summer kitchen, was quickly brought under control.  There were no injuries.  See more photos

MVA on Rt. 248 & Snyders Church Road

 

On Wednesday, December 28, 2011, -  At 18:15 hours, EAFD was dispatched to an MVA with rollover and entrapment. Chief 4651 arrived on scene and took command.   Crews from Rescue 4641 established a full Hurst setup and portable lighting.  Crews stabilized the vehicle and removed the windshield and cut the 4 posts on the passenger side of the vehicle.  Crews from Engine 4611 pulled a 1 3/4" hand line.  The units cleared the scene within 1 hour 30 min.

Code 3 for a Cure Foundation in NYC

 

On Tuesday, December 27, 2011, - two members of the East Allen Township Fire Department traveled to Time Square in New York City in support of the Code 3 for a Cure Foundation.  We took part in the opening bell ceremony at the NASDAQ stock exchange.  Code 3 for a Cure Foundation is a non-profit group dedicated to helping provide financial assistance to active and retired firefighters diagnosed with cancer who are facing a financial hardship.  They also provide financial support to other nonprofit organizations conducting cancer research and/or assisting firefighter cancer victims and their families.  We have strong ties and friendships with this wonderful organization.  Code 3 for a Cure Foundation

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dwelling Fire at Green Briar

 

On Sunday, December 11, 2011, -  At 05:01 hours, EAFD was dispatched to a Dwelling Fire in Greenbriar Village.  Chief 4651 arrived on scene and took command.  Crews from Engine 4611 stretched a 1 3/4" attack line and made a quick knock down within 15-20 minutes.  Crews from Ladder 4621 provided the water supply and assisted the crews from Engine 4611.  The units cleared the scene within 2 hours.  The fire is under investigation.

MVA at Nor-Bath Road

 

On Saturday, November 5, 2011, -  At 02:19 hours, EAFD was dispatched to an MVA with injuries, a vehicle was rollover.  EMS 46 and PSP on scene reported both patients were out of the vehicle.  Chief 4651 arrived on scene and took command.   Crews from Rescue 4641 and Engine 4611 provided cleanup.   The units cleared the scene within 1 hour.
